How to look like Joan from Mad Men

Sunday, April 21, 2013

Since Mad Men comes on Sunday nights @ 10 pm. , I thought I would show you how to look like Joan! By the way, if you don't watch Mad Men, you are really missing out.

Joan always has a pretty bold lip color but her lips always look moisturized and plump. This is a lip balm so it has a tint of color but wont dry your lips out. Go for a coral or rose color.

                                                                               Fresh

For the cheeks, use this poppy pink cheek stain! It gives a really natural but beautiful flush to your cheeks.

                                                                            Benefit

Just apply a thin line of black liquid liner to the top of your lashes and wing it out slightly.

                                                                           Urbandecay

For your skin, use Maybelline BB cream. It will give you light coverage so you will still have that fresh look.

This mascara is personally my favorite. It actually gives you a false eyelash look without the false lashes!

Choose a dress that makes a bold statement and accentuates your curves!

                                                                          Modcloth

A gold dangly necklace of some kind.

And big circle-stud earrings.

                                                                        Polyvore

Use a coral nail polish to match your coral lips!

                                                                             Essie

For the hair, part the bangs on the side and use a brush to tease the crown. Then, create a french twist and secure it in place with bobby pins. If you don't know how to do a french twist then click the link below!

                                                                            HERE!

And then all that's left to do is add a little attitude and a little sass!
